The scoop on 'Pork top round steak'
I too had never heard of this so I call 3 meat departments in my local area. One Albertson's and 2 Safeway's.
Funny response, Albertsons said no such thing. Safeway (both) said yes that actually pork and beef have the same cuts it just depends on what the store wants to call the different cuts. Some stores call beef and pork the same cuts. Safeway has pork 'top sirloin' as well as pork 'top round steak'.[p] My only suggestion on this particular package in question, I noticed that it was labeled 'extra lean' might want to mop it every hour to keep it from drying out too much.[p]Marv[p]
