Big Stick: On Grilling

Few people know that my hero - Theodore Roosevelt - was talking about grilling on the BGE when he said:[p]"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory or defeat."[p]Good to keep in mind when C-W and I blew it on our roasts a few weeks back and GJ, don't fret about those "hockey pucks"...[p]Thanks Forum, for all your sage advice.[p]Grilling boldly, Kamper

Thanks for the roast memory and Teddy R was a real rough rider :-)
Success on the "Egg" overrides any minor failure! I sure made a lot of BBQ beef sandwiches out of 20 lbs of sirloin roast!
Best ones I have ever eaten so no waste!

Thanks for the inspiring words. My brisket attempt wasn't so hot either. Maybe next time, I find and really follow the directions.[p]Mary
