BGE Ornament....not from Eggtoberfest

Every year, my wife adds an ornament to the tree that depicts an event from our lives that year. Of course this year I wanted a BGE ornament and even bid on the eBay Auction for the Eggtoberfest Gift Bag that contained one. But, one of you all sniped me by $1 at the end of the auction.[p]So, yesterday was my birthday and my good friends and next door neighbors (who've enjoyed the fruits of the BGE almost as much as I have) brought me a package while I was doing a turkey breast on the large, having a cocktail and watching the Packers. Here's what I found inside.[p]2007Nov19004.jpg[p]2007Nov19005.jpg[p]I think it's very cool and can't wait to put the tree up and display it proudly.[p]Cheers,
Braddog[p]PS
Eggsistential, check out the boquet from the 50mm prime! 8>)

  • Braddog,[p]Way cool -- glad you have an ornament for your tree!!!![p]With mom in town, we've done a brisket and a pair of fatties yesterday, and three big ol' T-bones tonight. That Raisin' the Steaks rub from Dizzy Pig was absolutely amazing on mine!![p]Enjoy the holidays over on the other side of the river...[p]Eggsistential

Dimple's Mom,[p]It's made from a styrofoam egg that they picked up at a craft shop. The rest they improvised and I think they did a great job![p]Cheers,

Eggsistential,[p]Thanks. We're heading for Pittsburgh on Wednesday, so I'm getting my eggin' done tonight and early in the morning. I'm feeding the team a couple of pork loins and two turkey breasts for lunch tomorrow. [p]Enjoy your visit with your mom and I hope you all have a terrific Thanksgiving![p]Braddog

    <p />Braddog,
that's cool! My beloved and I have been doing the same Christmas Tree Ornament Memorial (CTOM) for our 41 years of marriage and we love it! Anybody can buy oraments and pitch them later, but ours are special to us!

    Braddog,
You can get an EGGtoberfest '07 ornament as well as a non EGGtoberfest '07 ornament or a non dated Big Green Egg ornament from us.[p]Give us a shout at 770-934-5300. They are $9.90 each and rumor has it that there will be a 2008 ornament available next year so you might want to start the series.

RRP,[p]Wow, I didn't know it had a name! This is our 19th and when we decorate the tree, we take a minute to remember all that we've seen and done together.[p]Congrats on 41 yrs, I'm sure you've got quite a collection and the memories that go with it.[p]Cheers,

Braddog,[p]Go ahead and open that aperture a little more to really see that bokeh - love the 50mm prime on my Nikon - shoot most of my food shots with it.[p]TRex
  • Braddog,
If you would have told me that a sequin on a piece of Styrofoam became art I wouldn't have believed it. Now if only some duct tape for the gasket ƒº Man oh man, there it is ¡V true art![p]Happy Birthday Grill Master B![p]Still Nameless in St Lou
