Just got a new firebox--how I get it out of that injected foam?

UPS just brought a new firebox to replace the old cracked one. It's totally sealed inside hard-crusted foam. I was able to open the box, with great difficulty, and have only one idea about digging out the hidden firebox within. Would using my Mapp torch burn off the foam (and the box sealed to the foam?) without a major conflagration or gas attack?[p]I don't see patiently chipping away at it with a screwdriver for god knows how long. Any advice, you smart people?
