Red Meat

Long time griller and BBQ cooker, relatively new Egg cooker. One issue I've had when grilling on my Egg (steaks, burgers, etc.) is that many times the meat comes off a dark red color, and my wife says there are some off flavors. She's starting to demand that I go back to my kettle grill or gasser. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!
