    Well, in this case, a point and shoot camera at night without flash pointed at a glowing red charcoal fire is going to screw up the white balance really really bad, lol! You need to use the flash for something like that shot to have it look decent. Keep on it and you'll be doing great![p]TNW

  • The Naked Whiz,[p]Actually, the purple color may not be white balancing. Digital camera's sensor can't handle high temps and will produce purple-ish pictures. Don't expose digital cameras to high heat too long.[p][p]Waruwaru
