In the early days of AOL I was trying to come up with a user name that had my name or initials in it. Every name I tried was already taken so I tried the state where I live with my initials and it worked, so I've used it for pretty much everything since. Great thread! -RP

Well, it sure can't compete with Stump, but I've been in the Turfgrass/nursery/landscape maintenance business since my days as a Park Administration major at Texas Tech in the early 70's...that's 1970's, btw.[p]Lawn "the grass is not always greener" Ranger....especially at my new home.

The 5th and 6th grades used to visit my wash for a field day. I gave them a token for a free car wash for their parents. The parents kept asking my last name and the kids couldn't remember. So they called me Car Wash Mike.[p]Mike

Like BluesBBQ said below, nothin's more natural than blues and barbecue: put 'em together and you have Blues + Smoke.[p]Unintended coincidences: the older I get, the bluer my hair gets. I'm a nicotine addict.[p]Ken

Newbs,[p] I am of Celtic descent. For those that care the C is a hard C (K) That basketball team in Boston pronounces it wrong. Kind of like the Pennsylvania Dutch should be Deutsche (German).[p] The wolf is one of my Spirit Guides..

Essex County, Massachusetts, is where I live. It's about 20 miles north of Boston. I guess it is pretty boring when I could have picked 2manybeers or BritanyFan2000.[p]Paul

J = first letter of first name
Slot = first 4 letters of last name[p]A high school baseball teammate was the first to coin it. He called my spot in the batting order, no matter where it was, the "J" slot and it just followed me from there. I much prefer it to my other high school nickname (Lumpy). ROFL!![p]Jim
