Hey, how'd the rack of lamb turn out?[p]I did another today on my medium at 650 dome and the flames were high enough to burn the sugar and fat more than I like - maybe I needed to settle the fire down a bit at that temp but I think lower temps would have been better. Nevertheless, the wife ate more than her share so I really won't complain.

  • Hi Haggis - sheesh I thought I had already responded to this! Whoops! :)[p]My dad said that it turned out perfect (I didn't eat any).
I got the egg up to about 650* and did the sear, and instead of shutting everything down and removing the meat I just closed the vents a bit and kept the meat on there. I kept flipping it for about 10 minutes which is how long it took to come up to temp.[p]It sure was pretty!
