i don't, what i do, is as the water collects in the mixing bowl with the potato 'batter', i just spoon it off into the sink occasionally. . .you'll see that, particularly with a big batch, that it will continue to collect in the bowl, so each time i put a batch in the frying pan, i go back and spoon out the additional water. . .works for me. . .HTH
