Crown Roast Stuffing Recipe Sought

Anyone have a good crown roast stuffing that works well doing the roast on the egg? I've thought about wild/white rice and dried fruits, but I don't want it to turn out like a Claxton fruitcake. Maybe a sausage stuffing?

    BBQBluesStringer,[p] has several crown roast recipes with different stuffings. I've done the one with Apple and Pork with Cider Gravy a few years back and that was quite good. Now I see they have others that sound really great also.[p][p]

    BBQBluesStringer,[p]just lump. I know I should, but I don't experiment with different woods too much. I'm afraid something would be too smoky for my tastes.

    I cook at least one a year for many years. It is the favorite of the immediate family.[p]We have tried most ever type of stuffing.[p]We have settled on "hot Italian sausage". It adds a bit of bite to the pork.[p]
