So my wife and I want to use our old wok the the egg? I was thining about getting the fire nice and hot then setting the wok right on the op of the hot fire. Would tht work?[p]Thanks [p]Alan

You could try. Sandbagger makes a nifty ring for them to rest above the fire and I know that works.[p]Dennis

Alan,[p]I just put a cheap wok ring on the grill and go at it. I think that putting it right on the coals gets you down too low in the egg and you'll blister your arms doing the stirring. If you don't have or can't find a wok ring locally check out

<p />I beg to differ pal! With a 16 inch diameter wok, the bottom of the wok will be an inch or two above the top for the firebox's top edge. The wok is 4 inches tall. The fire ring is 4 inches tall. The math says the top of the wok is one or two inches above the top of the fire ring, higher than your coventional grid. So, you still concerned about getting burned? T
