I hope someone can help me. I have a spare liner, and would like to use it on my egg, would it crack under too much heat? I do not think I would go higher than 300*F. Should do great stews, and chili. Thanks for any help. We love this forum, best thing on the net.Willie,

Willie,
I would certainly think it would do fine, at least up to the highest setting on the crock pot dial. I would imagine almost all of them will go to 300°.[p]Wess

Willie,
ive heard of them being used. if you use a cover i would stick with the glass type, not the plastic. i use other earthen ware types and they hold up well.
fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
Willie, I use mine on the egg for beans, chili, stews, etc.
Works Great !!! Peace...

West Coast Barbeque,
Thanks to you and the others that have replied. Do you put it on the plate setter or right on the grid. Peace also.
-
Willie, I've done it both ways but prefer to set it on the platesetter.
