Burgers w/ Rib Drippings

Got in on the tail end of a food channel show this weekend that featured a Los Angeles rib and burger restaurant. The owner was smoking ribs on an upper rack and cooking the burgers directly below on a lower rack. He was using hickory for the smoke. The ribs were dripping their juices directly onto the cooking burgers. The customers were raving how great the hamburgers were. Don't know times or temps, but did look interesting?

Ironbaugh,[p]I saw that special too! The place was BBQ King in LA and not too far from my brother's place so the next time I'm down there, that's where I'm going for at least 1 meal. As for trying this on the egg, I'm thinking you could do 1 or 2 racks on the top of the grill extender with the burgers underneath. Good way for the cook to get some lunch while the ribs are getting done for dinner.
