how much is enough?

It's the big one, my son's first birthday. So we have decided to throw a big party! Sounds like a good excuse rip into some sweet pulled pork. Now the big question how much is enough? planning on 40-50 people. Is there a rule of thumb for how much per person? In my mind thinking of doing a full fresh ham in the 18lb range with 4-5 yard birds on the side and maybe some burgers and dawgs for the kiddies. Any experiences would be helpfull.[p]Thanks,
