We arrived home this afternoon and can't sleep until we thank everyone for an absolutely great Eggfest![p]Smitty and Ann, the work you put into this event was unreal, and made our first-ever public cook very easy. Thanks too to Evans and Anne, who I know worked behind the scenes to help pull it all together.[p]And thanks to the Out West cooks who had never attended an Eggfest but had the spirit we have experienced in Waldorf, cooking up a storm and showing novices and experienced Eggers alike how to expand their use of the Egg. The food was unreal. From smoked salsa, moist and tender chicken, jambalaya, pizza a dozen ways, brisket, pulled pork, cornbread, skewered pork, pork ribs, tri tip, seafood lasagne, strawberry crisp, chocolate cake, bread pudding . . . and on and on.[p]Thanks too to the distributor and sponsors that brought and demonstrated their products.[p]And to Bobby-Q and Brenda who flew out to lend their support from the Mothership.[p]I'm certain I have left out others, and I apologize for that error. I do want you to know that your efforts are well appreciated.[p]I met a great many people I had only learned of thru their posts, and a great many more who came to purchase their first Egg. To all of you, I want to say that it was truly our pleasure to meet you and share the day.[p]We didn't have a lot of time to take photos, but here are a few taken throughout the day.[p]Oh! And Smitty! Sign us up for next year![p]Rodger & Gloria[p]People01.jpg[p]People02.jpg[p]People03.jpg[p]People04.jpg[p]People05.jpg

    DobieDad,
Glad to see y'all had a great time. Here I was a little less then 13 miles from it but was tied up as I was house sitting for my aunt & uncle, taking care of one of their houses as it had to be tented and fumigated, then air it out and wait for PG&E to get out to do what they had to do. Couldn't make the Friday night meet & greet as I was working.[p]I have this big black cloud that follows me around, all of my friends have been telling me this over 40 years.[p]Maybe next year if I don't croak first. LOL[p]Best Regards,
    Bordello

    DobieDad,
I share the same thoughts.[p]My wife had a great time. Special thanks to Smitty and his crew for organizing this great event. This was my first time ever cooking at a function like this and I had a blast cooking, eating and meeting new egg folks. Look forward to future eggfests and events.[p]Welcome all new eggers who just bought demo units. :)[p]-Kurt
