8 hr Boston Butt method? Any suggestions/guidance...

I am going smoke one this weekend per my visiting father and grandfather's request. Due to the amount of work we are doing on the house, I don't want to be up and down all night checking temps. Can anyone offer some advice as to the 8-10 hour method or a link to some info?[p]Thanks.[p]I think the menu this weekend will be cedar plank salmon Friday night and pulled pork Sat. night.

You can try this recipe.I had it at one of the first Eggtoberfest and it was good but not as good as one cooked 18 hours.[p]Larry

trust in the egg, man. do the overnight, and b-e-l-i-e-v-e[p]the egg can hold 250. it doesn't care if you get up to check it or not.[p]you can't rush BBQ

I have done them several times at 300 grate temp, Put a good dose of smoke on it and trim well before you cook.
I would not wrap it. Cook to an internal temp of 195.
