Going to try a 5.5 lb. boneless butt this weekend. Any advice as to how much time I can expect to be cooking it?[p]Thanks much!

meinbmw,[p]At 250 dome, I've found that it should take about 1.5-2.0 hours per pound, so my guess'd be nine to ten hours.

meinbmw,[p]I figure 2.5 to 3.0 hours per pound for a BONE-IN hunk-o-meat. So that would be at most 16.5 hours. That being said, its a rule of thumb for a bone in. You need to cook based on temperature. Cook it to 195-200 internal, that is the ultimate gage.[p]Eggecutioner
