Tri Tip steaks from Sams Club

My wife and I love tri tip, but a whole roast is usually too much for just two, so when I found these tri tip steaks at  Sams Club about 9 months ago, I decided to give them a try.  I was skeptical at first, but they didn't disappoint.  The one thing I do miss is the aju that a roast produces during the rest period.  Today I decided to use butcher string to make the individual pieces more like a steak similar to the rib eye cap at Costco.  Maybe this method of grilling will produce more of the aju.  As I was tying the steaks I thought, why not skewer these steaks on picanha blades.  That may produce a different variation as well.

Any road will take you there if you don't know where you're going.
