    I built a bar when I was a shiny new Lieutenant, with dreams of hosting parties full of nurses and college coeds.
    The bar came out well, at least.  I made the top with standard "flake" particleboard (the sheet in the middle):

    ... and then bought that two-part epoxy mix clear finish (craft stores have it, used for tree clocks, etc).  Poured the epoxy onto the top, spread it out, and let it cure.  Worked well, and not too expensive!

    ive seen one similar with  silver eagles on the top,  one spaced out every seat to put your beer down on would be nice. the one i saw was all eagles though, must of been a retirement plan
