Anyone put a rutland on the lid instead of the base?
I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

Michelangelo did. Pretty sure anyway. He did his best work upside down.Ozzie_Isaac said:Anyone put a rutland on the lid instead of the base?I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Great job on the install. One of the cleaner ones, with minimal permatex noticeable.

looks real nice!
1 LBGE, 1 SBGE, 1 KBQ and a 26" Blackstone near Blackstone, Virginia -
Do you just put them on the base and not the top? I've received mine but the old one still has a few cooks in it
-
Base only. Single thickness is about as thick as the felt is when used on both top/bottom rims

2 of my 3, have Rutlands on the dome thanks to vidalia1. Haven't heard of many domes cracking, figured it would be easier come warranty claim, if we approach that bridge.

Ron was kind enough to give me a third, but the nomex is holding up just fine, and aligned perfectly(air tight), and I focus on fixing things that are broke. Which means my son and I may do it, when he gets the egg.
