found a good use for lump I don't like, trying a clean out. Got my MM to 700, how long should I hold it at that temp?

I have read in other posts that you get to that temp for 15-20 min and then shut everything down. Others may have better information.

IMO, unless your have a replacement gasket ready I wouldn't do that or (by the look at the time stamp on your post) is it too late?I've slow smoked and eaten so much pork, I'm legally recognized as being part swine - Chatsworth Ca.

I place my MM on a plastic table from Costco ($19) and put hockey pucks under the feet. Have not had any issue with heat and the table.Northern New Jersey
