Make sure to season it, if it has not been seasoned.

You're gonna love it. I still use mine daily, sometimes more than once.
Lots of good info here - have you read any past blackstone threads?

I bought the cover for mine and made a frame to lift the cover so that water would run off. It easily snaps into place. I also sewed in a belt buckle in the top center of the cover to help lift it on and off. A small hook near the grill lets me hang the cover out of the way.
You will enjoy it.

Leroy, thanks for posting this, I remember seeing this a while ago. hook deal is nice. I have been shopping for one for a while, found this off Craigslist at a good deal plus he had the cover, too, which came with it. looks brand new. The most important thing to know is 2 or 3 pounds of bacon at once is no problem.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Everytime I go to Lowes I look at them hoping for some crazy dal to justify it. Congrats on the purchase jealous here!! I do still wish they came in a natural gas version.
