Bacon Question

Obviously making your own making is the best... But what is your favorite store bought bacon? I made a recipe on Cristmas Eve with Oscar Mayer bacon and it was amazing. It was the best dish anyone brought. Then last weekend I made the same recipe for tailgating at the Redskins/Pakers game and used Smithfield bacon and it was the WORST. I am just wondering what your go to brand is.

I like farmlands best hickory smoked.

Hormel Black Label is the standout for me.

Depends on what it's being used for. I've use the Smithfield stuff for ABTs etc at demos mostly because it was available in bulk and on sale. It was okay stuff and thin cut so it wrapped easily.
Depending on availability. My personal preference for store bought is Wright Brand or Hormel Black Label.

Give the bacon from Costco a try- it's pretty good.

Costco has this thick-cut bacon in the cooler that is Applewood smoked. Great stuff.

I make my own but in a punch wright thick cut
