Figured you guys might get a kick out of this one..
Was getting the fire going last night, and running late due to work not wrapping up as early as I'd hoped - so, asked DW to put the Mickey's on our spatchcock chick..
She absolutely DOUSED it with Mickeys - to the point it was almost black BEFORE we put it on the grill.
Not only did she cover it on the outside, she put SPOONFULS of it under the skin.
To see it was...inedible...would be being kind!
But here's a testimony to the all-time great Mickey's rub - she apparently LOVVVVVVES Mickey's - to the point where I can't even convince her to go DP on anything anymore..
Who woulda thunk it? We've created a monster. A little itty bitty, 100 pound monster..but a Mickey's Monster none the less.

Nice! Tell her to try (not blacken) her next steaks (my wife will not eat with it).Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

So, it is unclear from your post if the chicken was good with this much rub on it?
I do understand that DW has a thing for Mickey, though. That's clear. Keep an eye on her.
