Smoked chicken salad

Tried a twist on my chicken salad... Smoked a bird with heavy apple chunks. 

Chicken, Duke's, grapes, honeycrisp apples and salt and pepper. Dont forget to finely chopped the crispy skin.

That looks excellent!!  Your recipe is definitely different than mine, but smoked chicken is my secret ingredient! (of course it's not a secret at all)

I'll have to try the fruit. I usually go with shredded cheese and bacon.

Looks & sounds awesome. I never thought about mixing the skin back in.  Gonna try it soon.

We make chicken salad all the time.   But we buy rotisserie chickens from the club.  Call me a cheater.  $5...about the same prices as an uncooked chicken. We pull a "Cartman" on the skin , meat goes into the salad, and the carcass makes broth.  SWMBO doesn't like smoke in her chicken salad.  Then there's the curry.... yum.

I don't like creamy salads (chicken, tuna, potato, macaroni, slaw, etc), but I'd try that for sure.

+1 on curry powder. I smoke mine and remove from bones and put in stand mixer and "shred" it. Then mix in the curry powder and whatever else I feel like adding. @nolaegghead
