Do you use the same BGE for everything, or do you have a dedicated BGE just for that? If you use the same , can you taste any negative past smoke flavor?

I cooked bread the other night and the last cook I did on it was ribs a day earlier. I could taste some extra smoke. If you are going to cook something other then steak/fish/chicken/pork I would next time clean out the egg and give it a fresh bed of fuel to cook on.Jacksonville, FL

Many eggers do dedicate an egg exclusively to baking. As I only have a LGBGE my practice has been to bake in a clean egg with fresh lump. Egg baked bread and desserts are frequent cooks in our home.IL

I do the same as others have said, clean egg and fresh lump with no ill effects or favors in bread cooksLake Keowee, SC
