Custom Handles

Hey guys, I know there have been a few threads with photos of people's custom handles, but nothing very recent. This is my next project and just looking for a little inspiration. I know I'm going to use a cedar, but that's all I know at this point. Any pics are appreciated!
I have a large BGE by the way.
Thanks.

RRP said:You open to a suggestion? While cedar can withstand weather elements it's soft wood and may not last very long so if you are planning extensive carving and time spent you might want to consider using a harder wood. Just trying to be helpful based on my personal experience!- EAT BEEF -

My uncle is a cattle farmer here in GA. He has close to 3,000 head of cattle. He has a big cattle sale in the spring. People from all over the country come down for it. It is a three day event.

I work for a processor. We sell beef and chicken to chains and retail. Cut steaks, marination, etc. Don't do the actual killing.- EAT BEEF - -

What are they putting on the new XL's? Short plastic handle?

Use Ipe (also known as ironwood) or similar Brazilian hard wood. You'll never need to replace it.

Here are some shots of ones that I have made. They are made out of red cedar. Made about 50 different ones.
