<p />I finally decided to finish what I started. I made several mods (solid metal casters and stone tile work surface) as well as several coats of stain and poly. It feels good to be done...until the small or mini comes along! Got to think ahead, right?

    Car Wash Mike,
Thanks Mike. I'm limited with my woodworking skills but I did my best. You should give it a try. You just may surprise yourself...I sure did!

Very nice job. Did you make it all with 1x's? Looks GREAT.[p]Mike

Car Wash Mike,[p]Me too, Mike. I am functionally retarded beyond something like hanging pictures or anchoring a dresser. Literally I am helpless.[p]Thanks God I'm a mediocre cook.[p]LOL

Hasenfeffer,[p]That's nice matter how you look at it!![p]I'd be proud to cook at that table!!!![p]Chubby
I spent most of my money on good bourbon, and bad women...the rest, I just wasted!!
  • Hasenfeffer,[p]You need to get this posted on the Naked Whiz's table page. Nice work.[p]
  • That table is too nice to be left outdoors. Be sure to open all the windows in the house before you start cooking![p]Great job![p]:)

Sounds like it's going to be a nice one (and heavy too).
Make sure to share your pics when it's done.

Thanks! I'm happy with the results.
The top and bottom were made from 1x's but the framing is 2x4's and 2x6's.

  • Hasenfeffer,[p]I see your table is already on the Naked Whiz's table photo page. That it was good looking table!
  • Ok, let's make an official request. I would really appriciate a copy of your plans.
  • Hasenfeffer,[p]I have a large BGE. I LOVE your table. Where may I get the plans?[p]George

Ditto that, I would like the plans as well.

    George Schneider,
Believe it or not I actually used the BGE plans and then modifield them a bit. Just let your imagination take over... I kind of made things up as I went along and then later got ideas from other tables I had seen.[p]Approximate deminsions of my table are: (L) 77" x (W) 26 1/2" x (H) 33 1/8" Take into consideration that a standard BGE cover will not fit. I had to have a custom cover made which turned out great.[p]If you haven't already, be sure to visit TNW site as he has step by step instructions for bulding a table (I wish I saw this before my project!)[p]At any rate, good luck and let me know if you have any questions. I'd be glad to help.
