Spatchcock chicken is on the large BGE, Makers Mark is poured, cigar is fired up, 2 100 lb labs at my feet and Hal Ketchum on the ipod. What are my Big Green rednecks up to tonight? (And don't tell me you are from New Jersey and not a redneck. If you are standing outside in 40 degree weather on a grill forum, I got bad news from you...you are a pair of camo walmart sweatpants away from the darkside!)

Dude, I love this post. Just finished some oysters I shucked with an unwashed flathead from the shop. Yep, I'm red. My lab's wondering around the house looking for trouble. Drinking whiskey and watching some ball. Living in the glorious south, spent a couple of hours on the diamond with the 8yr olds today.

Bacon wrapped meatloaf, cabbage fried in the bacon grease, broccoli salad.
Pink Floyd's Pulse concert DVD cranked to 11 on the surround, subwoofer shaking the walls and annoying the dogs.
Don't drink anything stronger than Diet Coke. -
You gotta watch out, that diet coke will catch up with you. Yolk, I saw those. I was just discussing with the fam the need for some grilled oysters after that post.

Oh yeah man. I have a whole 90s country mix. Sometimes you just gotta go back before country went....well, north.

Having grown up listening to willy, Waylon and the boys in the 70s I'd argue the 90s were already migrating that direction.

Agreed. I always have my highwaymen on standby.

Great opening post. I've only visited the south, but no doubt I'm a redneck to the core. Wouldn't want it any other way.Phoenix

There was a lot of good country in the 90's but there was also some crap, not as much as there is today mind you. I love Willie and Waylon, Johnny etc. I grew up on 90's country though, so it holds a special place for me.In Manchester, TNVol For Life!

I grew up in Nashville in the 80s/90s, so I am all over the board. Putting my music on shuffle could be a cataclysmic event.

I with ya. Miles Davis, Zepplin, Alman, DACoe, Dave Matthews, now my kids in the car listening to Radio Disney. I'd confuse the hell out of some folks... -

Got to hear David Allen Coe at Daytona in October. If that ain't country I'lll ...
Ready to head north for some good music also. North from here is north Ga, east TN,western NC and the highland of VA. Great music along the peak of the Blue Ridge.
Just my opinion.
