Smoked Pork Butt

I have just under a 4lb butt and gonna smoke it for SB Sunday. Would like thoughts on how long and what temp to smoke it. Using mesquite and Apple wood mixed with lump.

    Did the same thing last weekend. 4# @ 350 and was perfect in 4 hours. Have fun!

    Depends on how you want it cooked. I go low n slow route at 250 or so and start checking it at 195IT. Some like turbo but call me old fashioned. I like the long cook. That way I can sit and booze the whole time I am "cooking"

    My exact plan Chubbs! Low n slow with booze! Gonna start it this evening but am worried about time because I don't wanna over cook it in the event I pass out

    I would go a different direction (even more so with that small of a butt). TURBO BUTTS

    · Hot'n fast, 350 for 5 hours to internal to 200. Falls apart and oh so good! Have fun!
    · Be sure you only get a 7lb butt or so for the time (or a couple ((same amt of time)) or more for more protein )
    . Note: The butt box is not required unless holding for dinner.
    I use mustard & Bad Byron's Butt Rub (both not required). I put on the rub, then mustard,
    then rub once more. Ps: I do not foil. Also good with the coffee rub.
