OT/ does activity drop off

With all the new Eggs at Christmas time and new members here. Do we (I'm new also) start dropping off like members with a new gym membership and new years resolution.

A lot of folks slow down due to the weather.

People take breaks (myself included) and return. Some stay gone longer (me a year) some not so long.

I think I'll stick around. You guys are my only friends and my mom yells at me if I leave the basement for too long. Something about bathing...

There's a whole bunch that make that first "I'm new here" post then are never heard from again. Then there's a bunch more that post for a few months then check out. My favorites are the ones that flame out in one of the late night drunk threads. Those are the best.

Cooks?  I don't know.  I doubt they vary much over time apart from seasonal patterns.
Posts?  That's an empirical question.  Perhaps the moderator would supply a statistical analysis.
