Saturday Pork Butt

Going for my next large pork butt.  Picked it up yesterday and slathered with the cheapest yellow mustard I could find.  Rubbed with Byron's Butt Rub and rested while Agnes (my egg, in Honor of my Grandmother who was an AWESOME cook) got ready.

Went on at 9:30 AM.....  Using Rockwood with Pecan chunks mixed in the full firebox.

She 8lb[ and will be pulled for several people that have asked for a taste of my pulled pork.  They've liked my chicken and other things, but haven had my pulled pork.

Good choice, but sliced is good for  a change.

@DaveRichardson‌, I never thought about naming my egg. What a great tribute to your grandmother.

@Stemc33 - It had to have a family name since I use grandad's Zippo lighter from his tours in WW2 to light the egg.

@grege345 - hovering around 300.  This Rockwood burns hot and I'm having trouble keeping it under 275.  I'll take the trade off for a good cook!

And it's DONE!!!!!! All I can say is YUM!!!!!

SWMBO + 2 daughters + myself all had heaping plates with NO SAUCE AT ALL!!!!
