Four 8 lb BB on LBGE - placement?

I'm going to be cooking four 8lb BB for my nieces graduation party. It will be my biggest cook to date. Any ideas on placement? I have the grid extender and a medium grate, so I might be able to fit 3 on the primary grid and 1 on the top grid. Would another option be to stand all 4 vertically on the primary grid? Do I need to be concerned about the butts touching other (gasp!).
