Got a friend headed there and he wants a packer. Any of you guys know where to get one?

They are really hard to find anywhere in North Carolina plus not much down in that area. Maybe back towards morehead?

Call a store down there. Tell them you have a method named after you, and that they better have a brisket for your friend when he gets there... or else.

Costco has them here, but that is probably specific to their stores in some regions. Still worth a shot though.  What about Restaurant Depot?
