The family is over tonight for dinner and I've got a pork shoulder on the egg right now. Trying to go turbo and sitting at 350 right now.
My wife loves sauce on everything. I'm indifferent. So I'm looking for a couple sauce recipes that I can make up this afternoon for folks to add if they want. Putting the pork in buns with coleslaw and baked beans. I've done a mustard vinegar sauce off the Internet and it was good. Looking for one tangy and one sweet sauce.
Thanks.

I did the APL sauce and it was really good (http://www.adamperrylang.com/recipes/apl-bbq-sauce). Kind of a classic sauce with just a little sweetness.
Seems like it would also be pretty easy to tweak to make simpler.

1 jar of Chili Sauce to 2 cans of Root Beer (not diet).
If you’re feeding a crowd, you’ll want to double the sauce. Pour it all into a pot, bring to a boil, and then simmer until the liquid reduces into a thick sauce.

PC Smokin' Chipoltle and Beer is as good as most. A tart North Carolina vinegar sauce is awesome for cutting the fattiness of the pork. This is copied from Elder Wards PP method on the other forum.

( The Traditional North Carolina Sauce I grew up with.
This would be from my mothers side of the family who are a bunch of flatlanders near the coast. We only came down out of the hills to see them just enough to keep the peace in the family and my mother from running back home for good. She hated the mountains. We all loved her folks.· 1 C white vinegar
· 1 C cider vinegar
· 1 Tbs. sugar (Hawaii style when you can)
· 1 Tbs. cayenne pepper (fresh ones split 2 of em instead soak 2 days or more is best)
· 1 Tbs. Tabasco sauce
· 1 tsp. kosher salt
· 1 tsp. cracked black pepper
Makes 2 CupsPlace in a bottle with small neck that will allow you to shake it out a little at a time. )

I made a mustard and vinegar one for the Mrs who likes tangy. Stil unsure about sweet. Wish I had PC Chipotle or Chili Sauce and Root Beer. No time to get to the store. Probably going to just be something with Ketchup, brown sugar etc. Will try both above though.Mt Elgin Ontario - just a Large.

Here's one I keep meaning to try (but haven't yet). Submitted to Food52 as a winning contest entry by TRex (the steak cooking method guy). Looks good, looks simple, cool name...
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!
