Guardian Cookware care

Recently cleaned my Guardian  12 x 2.5" pot in the oven in the auto self clean overnight and then cleaned with steel wool.  Now wondering if I should try to cure like a wok or cast iron or just cook in it. .  Remember this is aluminum and they have been around since the early part of this century.
