Lump and smoking wood on the MS gulf coast

Anyone local to the Coast and know where to buy lump and smoking woods?

I either get ozark oak when I am in Hattiesburg or royal oak from Walmart. BGE brand is too expensive from Phillips.

I typically get the green B&B hickory bags of lump from Academy..

I got a couple bags of Royal Oak and a bag of oak B&B this weekend from WalMart on 49..

Lowe's sells Cowboy, but I've not tried it..

Sam's sells Best of the West.. Very cheap, kinda sparky.. Meh.

Ace in OS was selling Wicked Good Weekend Warrior.. Not sure I'd they still carry it with the issues WG seem to be having..

The hickory B&B from Academy has been my go to for the most part..

What part of the Coast are y'all from?

Compton and son in gulfport has or had WGWW.

I live in wiggins and work in downtown gulfport.

I just got off the phone with Matt Compton, he has a couple pallets of Wicked good weekend warrior and he said he would order any chunks of anything I want.  

I live on the Tchoutacabouffa river in Biloxi.

Where do you get Ozark oak in H'Burg?  I have been wanting to try that stuff.

I might have to check out Compton and Son.. I'm in Orange Grove.

Compton and Son is opening an outdoor/patio/grilling store next door to their current location and it's opening next month. They are on Pass rd.  So there selection is about to get much, much better.  They are really good guys too. Tell them Scott Allen sent you.

I have been going to compton to get dizzy pig and john henry rubs.  The WGWW was just too expensive compared to everything else.  25.99 for a bag.

From what they said when their outdoor section is done they are supposed to have an event and john henry is going to be there.

Compton and Son has Dizzy Pig and John Henry?  Dang.. I need to get by there for sure.

All local guys too. Matt Compton runs the place and his dad started the company. He's working on a great selection. By the end of summer, it's going to be a great shop.

I bought my Egg from them and they installed/delivered and everything. I came home from work to a ready to use XL waiting on me in my backyard with no trash or packaging to be found. I love shopping with them.
