High Temp Glue for Gasket Repair?

My gaskets (original ones - it's a newer egg) were stuck together last time I used my large and getting them unstuck required a little knifework. In the process, I sliced through part of the top one and now there's a little felt flap hanging down that I'd like to glue back together. Any ideas for glue that can take the heat?

I use a permatex high-heat gasket maker (don't recall the color) from an auto parts store as the "glue" when time to replace the gasket. Time to "knock on wood" as I haven't had to for a good while. Try searching for gasket replacement on google and add big green egg to your query-you should get several links. Good luck-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

3M Super 77 adhesive spray is fairly popular for gasket replacements. Can find it at many hardware stores.LBGE - St. Louis, MO; MM & LBGE - around 8100' somewhere in the CO Front Range

MO, does that stand for Missouri? I'm near St. Louis.

I'm in STL as well. I have done several group buys and installs for the Cotronics woven ceramic gasket. I'm out right now, but I'll probably order more soon. Email me if you our group's directions for install or to be included on future group buys & events (smoking woods, temp controllers, thermapens, expanded stainless steel firegrate, firebox chimneys, etc.)

Permatex Copper and Rutland gasket. Bullet proof and will last as long as your Egg. 3M sanding disc and you will never replace again!!
Only put it on the bottom of the Egg.
