I bought a new gasket from High Que and with it they shipped a brochure that showed a new grate to replace the bottom 9" plate. After reading the reviews, I decided to try one. I installed the grate and refilled with Royal Oak and used my heat gun, this is the results. Turned on the heat gun and at the 45 sec. time it started to ignite. I left the gun on holding it back a little ways from the charcoal and let it run for a total of 2 min. Then closed the lid without the daisy wheel installed and the bottom vent wide open. At the 7 min. mark, the BGE was up to 450 degrees. This is a lot different than when I used the electric starter and would let it on for 7 min. before closing the lid! I'm really happy with these results!
