Time to post a food pic!
Seasoned with evoo and DP raging river. Cooked indirect at 370*. Had an apple/mesquite mix in the firebox for the duration.
SWMBO enjoyed but confessed that she liked my upright beer can chicken better. Might need to raise higher in the dome for better skin. Might need a little more salt too.
The smoke amount was perfect. My earlier smokes haven't had a good enough ring. It seems like the egg needs more wood than what I'm used to with my old offset. I think the more controlled environment produces a thinner smoke that's spread out over a longer period of time. It works well for low and slow but a quick cook like chicken has to have more concentrated smoke in an egg.
