Burn the gasket by the hinge on my egg last night well cooking pizza. I need some help in getting a new one any suggestions on a gasket? I was thinking about getting flat thin wood stove gasket. Has anyone tried this?

I fried my gasket the first week I had my egg, been 2 years on a frazzled gasket, still works fine, I say leave be, but thats just me.

You can contact the BGE HQ (aka mothership) customer service and they will likely send you a free nomex replacement. Conduct a search here or through google and you will find lots of threads about gaskets and replacements. Hazard of ownership but the Rutland replacement seems to be the longest-lasting replacement choice.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.
