I bought a new XL and I have an 18" BGE CI grate from a purchase a few months ago.  Do you think I could use the 18" grate with the XL in some configuration?  I am still trying to determine which accessories I should buy for the XL.  Thanks for any advice you can offer.

The 18" CI grate can be used on a spider or Woo for searing.

I know the CGW 2 tier I purchased for my XL (shipping this week) has an 18" for the top platform. Like mentioned, probably a Spider or Woo combination. Or find a good welder :))

My large grate finally gave up the ghost a couple of weeks ago. (Dropping it from the table didn't help any) but I was left with a few pieces of good siixe. I cooked something last week and just threw the CI pieces on the stainless grid. Worked fine. I have an XL CI grid but rarely used it. If I used it a lot I think the fracturing would be worse than the large one.
