Outdoor kitchen question

I'm about to redo my deck and add a outdoor kitchen with my xl egg and will be adding a medium. I want to put a flat screen tv on the deck. Part of the deck is covered and I was planning on putting it under the covered part. Does the tv need to be in some sort of weather proff box? Any suggestions?

I bought the cheapest 46" HD flat screen available at Fry's at the time. It was the prior year's model on closeout. Not an all- weather TV. Mine is mounted above the outdoor fireplace which is covered but has open walls on 3 walls including the 2 adjacent to the fireplace. No weather proof box, doors or cover It's been 2.5 years in TX heat and humidity with no issues. Even though I explained where I was putting the TV, Fry's still offered to sell me a full replacement warranty since it was in a covered location. I declined and so far so good, but probably not a bad idea.

Thanks. I'm in south Miss where the heat and humidity get pretty high in the summer. I'm going to mount it close to the ceiling so when we get blowing rains the tv wont get wet.

The TV is in the upper right corner. I tried to get perspective for you, I am standing under the screened area by the pool. Right where the Eggs are.
That TV has been there for over 10 years and I think 5 or 6 hurricanes. Still going strong.
In a completely unrelated post, say high to Cyrano de Birdiac.

Our tv is on a wall mount so we can swing it out to watch it from different areas of the deck. We have used the same tv and satellite receiver now for 8 yrs without a problem. Our heat and humdity can also be unbearable but we just make sure it doesn't get wet and bring it in during the winter. No other protection is required.
