If you follow this wild salmon, you know the season opened about 3 weeks ago. The west coast most likely had it in a few days...... It takes longer for it to show up out yonder. I cut about 6" off the tail end of this side, and it's curing this evening for smoking on Monday. The rumor from Alaska is that this year will be the 5th largest harvest ever. Bring it on!!
