I have found a small at an attractive price with a warrantee (demo) I want to be able to use a dutch oven wth it. With tha plate setter, the lid wont close with a dutch oven on the grid.
The question is:
when using a dutch oven is a plate setter required? maybe the Ceramic grill store has something to get the grid lower. .
or maybe lust use the three feet under the DO sitting on the plate setter.
any ideas.?
thank you.

I sometimes use my 9qt DO on the large with a spider, up or down depending on what I am cooking.
You might consider taking the fire ring out and then using the plate setter, legs up with a spacer between the plate setter and the pot, unless you have one with feet.
