Calibrated Thermometers this morning

I did this to check the BGE Thermo. and the Tel-Tru. I also checked my new ET-732, and Oneida Thermo.

Waters boiling and the Thermapen reads 212* we are good to go I live 325 ft. above sea level

Oneida food probe 212*

ET-732 food probe 212*

ET-732 BBQ probe 212*

BGE Thermo reading 12* low

Tel-Tru reading low

BGE Calibrated by turning the nut on the back

Tel-Tru Calibrated the same way.

ROSS, you motivated me to test everything and I had some surprises!

My 8-year-old Tel-Tru on the Large was off by at least 10°. No directions on WHICH WAY to turn the nut in the Tel-Tru instructions, so I had to experiment. Wasted a lot of time! But finally got it right.

My very old gray Thermapen is 4° high, and the only innard I can see is the battery compartment. I"ll go to their website and see if there's a way to change it. My new hot pink Thermapen is right on the money.
