I haven't had much of an appetite since the knee surgery and have been missing the egg terribly. Reading everyone's posts and all the great pics have been a great inspiration. Decided this morning that today was the day!
Miss Egg getting happy:
Ribeyes !
Plated with loaded potato! The picture does not do justice to the meal...it was the best meal I've had since February 13th.

Glad your feeling better and got some good food for a change Beth. Might I say your yard looks nice as well as the food. Pink azalea in background?
-
Way to go Miss Elizabeth. You did your cooking proud. Good to see your back in the saddle again. Don't forget to grill some chickies and smoke a butt...Keep coming back.
-
Pink azalea it is!!! "Pride of Mobile" - they are almost in full blook - that means an abundance of pollen. I'm going to clean out the garden boxes tomorrow and get them ready for tomato and pepper plants to be planted next weekend. Spring is definitely in the air here! Thanks for looking!
-
Speaking of chickens - picked up a roasting hen today and will have a beer-can chicky tomorrow! I'm breaking open a bottle of my favorite wine to mix with some juice for this special bird!

Great looking dinner and I love the flowers in the background. No blooms up here in the PNW, yet...Southlake, TX and Cowhouse Creek - King, TX. 2 Large, 1 Small and a lot of Eggcessories.

I said to my wife, 'Where do you want to go for our anniversary?' She said, 'I want to go somewhere I've never been before.' I said, 'Try the kitchen.'

Oh, my dear! I'm SO happy you have found your appetite again! I was ill for many months last year and had no interest in food...then the magic day I fired up the Egg again and got "The Taste" back! It's a wonderful memory.
My best thoughts to your recovery.Judy in San Diego -
CLASSIC!!! Looks YUMMEE!
-
There are plenty of blooms here right now - and tons of pollen! Hoping for a bit of rain to wash some of it away....Thanks for looking.
-
Well....since you asked. A leftover from the previous owner and we left it up to protect the screen from the dogs. The dogs aren't the least interested in the screens, and one of these days....the pickets will be history.
-
Thanks Judy - I'm thankful too! And anxious to get back to normal. My therapist reminded me Friday that I am still healing and to take it easy - wouldn't you know I ran into him today in the grocery story - and he just smiled and said "I knew you were not going to sit around long"....
-
that looks great. i love ribeyes!
-
Thanks Hoss! I was talking about you today - told a friend about the fabulous La Hossa and Applie Pie Shine! Legendary stuff.
-
Thanks! Didn't get quite the sear I was hoping for, but they were good. Marinated in a balsalmic/olive oil mixture....we like them!
-
CAREFUL.I don't wanna hafta go into the witness protection program, AGAIN!
-
Looks pretty amazing to me!!!! Glad to see you back! Eating like that, you will be 100% in NO time! Get well!

Thanks! It helps that food is finally starting to taste good again....

Thank you - I've really missed it - beer can chicken today!!!

Elzbth, those proteins and carbs should give you plenty of energy for your rehab. Looks delicious!

I need all the help I can get with rehab - 3 visits per week, each lasting around 3 hours. They keep adding weights and pushing me to the limit. It's all good - my progress is really good and I'm planning to shell-shock my surgeon on Thursday. I've surpassed his expectations and he is going to be pleased (I think he had doubts about my ability to progress - he underestimated my resolve)!!!
