So saturday I made shitake, cremini, oyster and morels in a puff pastry. Put it on the pizza stone on the egg and didn't check for a while. When I did I found the bottom was burned..what the heck i can take a picture right? Top was not done so I put it under the broiler for a bit. Forgot entirely about it til the smoke detectors went off. Not to be deterred I had another crack at it yesterday.
Made the duxelles...again
Pate foie gras with truffles
Duxelles again
Oyster mushrooms
Enoki
On to the egg
This time I wasn't burning anything and I noticed the bottom was about done. I lifted it off the egg on a spatula while I tried to get a cold grid on the platesetter. You guessed it whallop. It hit the deck and disintegrated. Put it together best I could for a pic

Temps between 40 & 140, your deck is never over 40 so no problem. 5 second rule, your so close to the ground I'm sure you scooped it up in less time so no problem. Bottom line I'd eat it,,, provided you add some beef to it :P
