wow!.... that's what i call going "full throttle"...four xl's.... are you going to open a restaurant? .... rev. ray

If you do a forum search and type in "Waldorf" you can read all about the past fests and see the pics. I attended the last 2 fests there, and it's a really fun, well planned event.
If they offer the seafood dinner on Friday night, I highly recommend it, it is a great time.Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!
3 Large, 1 Small, 1 well-used Mini -
It is a great event. There are really two possible answers to your question.
The event starts around 9 AM and you can come and enjoy food, drinks (beer, soda, water), music, fellowship, learning about the Egg, etc. all day.
I think that you can pick up your eggs around 4 PM. -
benny, I would arrive Friday night to hang out & meet everyone. On Saturday morning, if you cook, plan on getting to the site before 9am to set up (if you don't cook, show up at any time after 9am). Cooking usually ends about 3pm so the eggs can cool down for distribution by around 5pm. There is an after party at the host hotel & it is for everyone, cooks & non-cooks. It's usually the best part of the fest so definitely plan on going, particularly if you enjoy good food, cocktails & really funny peoplehappy in the hut

I noticed the host hotel is not the same this year. Is it close to where we were staying & is everyone staying at the new place? After party rocks!

Id like to open a bbq rest. however, Im buying one xl for myself ( to add to my large) and the other three xl's are for friends.

i think they will fit in the suburban....ill make sure beforehand

Four fully assembled XL in a Suburban.....might be a tight fit, and will certainly be a pain to get them all situated in there. They aren't going to slide around willingly.
You might want to eat your Wheaties that morning. -
Susan, that hotel is brand new and in a very nice location. It is walking distance to the mall and movie theater, there is a large pond with a boardwalk and a decent chain pizza/pasta restaurant called Boston's with outdoor seating overlooking the pond. The drive is only about 3-5 more minutes away from the fest location. Instead of going through the light on Route 301 to get to the old hotels, you would make a left and travel south for a few lights and make a right.

Thanks! sounds nice
