Still playing with the grate thing

I was in a hurry last night with dinner and did not have time to dwell the steaks per TRex and get the finishing temperature right. I was not real excited about putting a cold fire ring into a hot egg: breakage potential. So I adjusted the grate thing to about 3 inches, a perfect no flare up height given the type of fire and put it directly onto the grate used to sear. No need to take the hot searing grate out. I finished the steaks to medium well. Work nicely! [p]steaksonstainless.jpg[p]Whiz, I must continually compliment you on your photo pasting tutorial. Makes posting so easy.[p]
